First American Bank breaks ground on eighth location

First American Bank held the official groundbreaking for its newest banking center, located in Moore, on Monday. The banking center will be at 2101 S. Interstate 35 Frontage Road, which is located immediately east of the Riverwalk Shopping Center. Completion of the center, the bank's eighth in the state, is expected in October.
Quentin Remy with Blair Remy Corp. is the architect for the project. The builder is Gail Armstrong Construction.
The Moore branch will provide full-service banking with a complete range of financial services. Jim McAuley is president/chief executive of First American Bank.
Stillwater National
Kevin Short has been promoted to vice president of commercial lending at Stillwater National Bank's Tulsa Division. John Hall has been promoted to assistant vice president in the Tulsa division's operations area.
Short's role at SNB includes the creation and management of the bank's commercial loan portfolios, including related depository and investment management business.
As an assistant vice president, Hall will continue overseeing all daily operational functions of the Tulsa Division as well as overseeing the division's facilities.
OSCPA
The Oklahoma Society of Certified Public Accountants now offers a free online referral service to help individuals find a reputable CPA. When people log on to www.oscpa.com, they can simply fill out a form and instantly receive a list of firms matching the request. Those who participate in the program will receive a free 30-minute consultation with the CPA firm they contact. All participating firms must be licensed by the Oklahoma Accountancy Board and be in good standing with the board and the OSCPA Ethics Committee and not have any pending disciplinary actions against them. Last year, close to 1,000 referrals were made through the program. Consumers without Internet access may call 1-800-522-8261, Ext. 3811 to participate in the program.
