Annual OK Centennial Horse Show planned

About 300 performance horses are expected for the 13th annual Oklahoma Centennial Horse Show April 18-22 at the State Fair Grounds.

Major corporate sponsors are the Fred Jones Companies, Dealer's Auto Auction, Lazy E West, Oklahoma Publishing Co., Oklahoma City Convention and Tourism Department, Express Personnel, Eskridge Lexus and Honda, and Heritage Press.

The economic impact to the Oklahoma City economy is expected to be $1 million.

The Oklahoma Centennial Horse Show will offer classes for American Saddlebreds, Morgans, Hackney/Harness Ponies and Roadster Horses and Ponies. More than $50,000 in prize money and awards will be offered.

The daytime classes begin at 11 a.m. on Thursday and Friday and 10 a.m. on Saturday and Sunday and end early afternoon each day. All evening performances begin at 7 p.m. Admission is free.

This year's beneficiary for the show is Coffee Creek Riding Center for the handicapped. The show has given away about $150,000 to charities.
