Medical device companies complete merger

The merger of Sorb Technology of Oklahoma City into RenalSolutions has been completed.
Sorb, which has operations at 3631 SW 54th St., will remain in Oklahoma City operating as a subsidiary of RenalSolutions.
RenalSolutions is based in West Lafayette, Ind., but plans to move its headquarters in Pittsburgh during the third quarter.
Sorb is the developer, manufacturer and distributor of Redy sorbent recirculating hemodialysis systems. Sorb is developing a sorbent regenerative cartridge and a hemodialysis system for the acute dialysis market.
RSI is developing technologies addressing the needs of patients with End Stage Renal Disease or Acute Renal Failure. The company currently has two systems in development; a home/nocturnal hemodialysis system and an acute hemodialysis system.
