Communication Federal Credit Union announces promotions

Billy McDaniel has been promoted to vice president of operations, overseeing day-to-day operations, personnel and management of all 15 Communication Federal Credit Union locations in Oklahoma and Kansas.
McDaniel has been with the credit union since 1993.
Amy Roush has been promoted to vice president of corporate development, supervising all aspects of marketing, business development and education for the 100-employee credit union.
Roush has been with Communication Federal Credit Union since September 1998.
Scott Mendenhall has been hired as the credit union's vice president of information systems. He has 18 years of experience in data processing.
GuarantyFirst Bank
GuarantyFirst Bank will open a full-service branch at 3501 W. Robinson St. in Norman later this year. The GuarantyFirst Banking Center is currently at 1017 24th Ave. NW in Norman.
The new bank site, formerly Pinocchio's Restaurant, will undergo a major remodeling. Pinocchio's had operated in Norman for nearly 25 years.
GuarantyFirst has been Oklahoma owned and operated for 38 years.
In addition to the drive-up lanes, the bank's new facility will continue to provide Norman with a full range of personal and commercial services currently offered by the 24th Avenue banking center, including free checking, home equity loans and credit lines, personal and business loans, as well as mortgages and investment services.
GuarantyFirst Vice President Don Hiebert will continue to be responsible for the bank's Norman operations.
FDIC
The Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation has issued the public list of institutions scheduled for a Community Reinvestment Act examination during the third quarter, including 11 Oklahoma banks.
Oklahoma banks scheduled for exams during the third quarter include The Bank of Quapaw, Spiro State Bank, First State Bank in Valliant, Community Bank in Bristow, First United Bank and Trust in Durant, Bank of Hydro, The First State Bank in Ketchum, Bank of Laverne, The Citizens State Bank in Okemah, First Security Bank and Trust in Oklahoma City and Union Bank and Trust in Oklahoma City.
Ocean West Funding
Reymundo Madrid has joined the mortgage lending company Ocean West Funding and will serve as a loan officer.
Among other duties, Madrid will provide community seminars for individuals interested in purchasing a home.
Madrid was most recently the program manager for the Oklahoma Primary Care Association's Oklahoma Farmworker Health Initiative.
Madrid retired from the U.S. Air Force in 1990 after more than 21 years of service.
Ocean West Funding, in conjunction with El Amigo Inc., is working to provide housing to families traditionally left out of the home- buying market. El Amigo will purchase homes, remodel them, and then place them on the market for sale. Ocean West will help provide financing.
Investment Centers of America
Kyle L. Allen is the new investment representative for the Investment Centers of America office located at First American Bank at 801 NE 12th Ave. in Norman.
Gold Bank
Gold Bank has opened its newest Oklahoma location at 10900 Hefner Pointe Drive in the North Shore Office Building. The bank already has one other Oklahoma City location, as well as three in Tulsa and 14 others across the state.
Gold Bank was formed when American Heritage Bank of El Reno, Citizen's Bank of Tulsa and People First Bank merged with Gold Banc Corp., consolidating all Oklahoma offices into a single charter and changing the name of the charter to Gold Bank.
Gold Banc Corp. of Leawood, Kan., is the parent company. A $2.8 billion banking institution, Gold Banc has 61 financial-services locations in Kansas, Oklahoma, Missouri and Florida.
The company's asset base reached $2.7 billion last year. Total loans were $1.8 billion, up 8.6 percent, while deposits grew 6.4 percent to $2.1 billion. Net interest income increased 6 percent, compared to 12 percent in 1999.
Nearly $900 million of the $2.8 billion in assets are held in Oklahoma.
Oklahoma Bankers Association
Twenty-six Oklahoma bankers have completed the 2001 Oklahoma Bankers Association Intermediate School in Stillwater.
