Heritage Propane buys 1st Propane of Boise

Heritage Propane Partners has bought the assets of 1st Propane of Boise, Idaho.

Most of 1st Propane's 900 customers are west of Boise in the Caldwell, Idaho market. Mike Brown, who formed 1st Propane in 1997, will assist Tulsa-based Heritage during a transition period. All employees will be retained by Heritage, said Bradley K. Atkinson, vice president of corporate development for Heritage.

The acquisition of 1st Propane of Boise was the 65th acquisition for Heritage since becoming a publicly traded master limited partnership in June 1996 and the 95th acquisition since Heritage's formation in 1989.

Heritage serves more than 650,000 customers in 29 states.
