Bankruptcy filings at U.S. Bankruptcy Court for Oklahoma decline

Bankruptcy filings at the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Oklahoma totaled 931 in January, the lowest for any month since December 2002 when 917 petitions were filed.
Filings for the month were down from 1,027 in January 2003.
A record 14,213 petitions were filed with the court in 2003. Monthly filings in 2003 ranged from a low of 1,023 in November to a high of 1,419 in October.
