Craig Knutson has joined the United Way of Central Oklahoma as vice president of research and convening. The University of Oklahoma graduate previously served as chief executive of the Central Oklahoma Workforce Investment Board, chief economist for Southwestern Bell in Oklahoma City and senior economic planner for the City of Oklahoma City.

Knutson will head a new department, called Research and Convening, which was formed from United Way's merger with the Community Council of Central Oklahoma. Under him will be three former CCCO workers: Crystal Barnard, Paul McCain and Nina Reaves.

Barnard, a 15-year CCCO veteran, will be the new department's manager. McCain will serve as the new United Way clearinghouse coordinator, while Reaves, a nine year CCCO veteran, will be the production and technology associate.
