Journal Record, The (Oklahoma City), Jul 22, 2004 by Journal Record staff
Cox Communications ranked the highest in overall customer satisfaction in the nation in J.D. Power and Associates' 2004 Residential Long Distance Telephone Service Study for bundled services.
This marks the first time any cable company has received a J.D. Power and Associates telephone service award in this study. Bundled service providers, according to the study, provide local and long- distance service with a single bill, and can also offer video and/or data services, such as Cox.
Cox's high ranking in the study indicates that our customers recognize the value of the high-quality, customer-focused bundled solutions we deliver to the marketplace, said Dave Bialis, vice president and region manager of Cox Communications Oklahoma. Cox's long-term strategy to provide bundled services, including local and long-distance telephone service, video and high-speed Internet services, has proven to be a meaningful way to do business today and has contributed significantly to the high customer satisfaction ratings we receive in all of our markets.
The study rated overall customer satisfaction based on six factors - company image, performance and reliability, billing, customer service, cost of service and offerings and promotions.
Cox received the highest rating in performance and reliability, billing and company image. Among all bundled long-distance telephone service providers nationwide, the J.D. Power and Associates study showed that Cox customers reported high call clarity; ease of understanding their bills; convenience of having multiple telecom services on one bill; a variety of methods to pay their bill; and willingness of Cox to stand behind the service it sells.
In 2003, Cox ranked second out of 17 in overall customer satisfaction in J.D. Power and Associates' Long Distance Telephone Study.
