U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of OK has new program

Journal Record, The (Oklahoma City), Jan 27, 2005 by Journal Record Staff

The U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Western District of Oklahoma has a new program to fax notices to registered litigants quickly and efficiently.

The Bankruptcy Electronic Noticing and Imaging program, or BENI, was designed to use delivery of notices by facsimile, which will be faster than using the U.S. Postal Service. The court will save money on postage. BENI also should eliminate duplication notifications and delivery mistakes.

The program will match the names and addresses of registrants with the names and addresses of litigants in Bankruptcy Court cases, said Leah Arms, systems manager for the court. By using BENI, the court hopes to ensure that notices are received by litigants.

BENI registration must be made online at www.okcbankr.com. A Remote Access to Electronic Court Records user name and password are required to register.
