Enid-based Advance Food Co. receives two awards

Advance Food Co. of Enid received two awards for exporting at the Oklahoma World Trade Conference. The company received the 2005 Governor's Award for Excellence in Exporting among Oklahoma corporations and the U.S. Department of Commerce Export Achievement Certificate for accomplishments in the global marketplace.

These awards recognize the company's achievements in the global market place. The company exports products to Canada, Mexico, Guatemala, Puerto Rico, Peru, Belize, Aruba and Bermuda.

Export is the next frontier for our company, said Dave McLaughlin, company co-founder. We intend to aggressively pursue the many opportunities available during the next few years.

Advance is a privately held manufacturer of portion-controlled meat products for the foodservice industry. The company has more than 1,800 employees and operates seven facilities nationwide.
