Fred Jones Enterprises acquires Industrial Specialties Inc. and

Fred Jones Enterprises is expanding into the industrial distribution market with the acquisition of Industrial Specialties Inc. and subsidiary Control Dynamics Inc.
All three companies are based in Oklahoma City. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
The purchase of Industrial Specialties continues to strengthen our company's current distribution operations, while allowing us to expand into new areas, said Fred J. Hall, chairman of Fred Jones Enterprises, a national distributor of automotive parts.
We look forward to fostering growth in this very important segment of the manufacturing and the energy industries, he said
Founded in 1979, Industrial Specialties is a wholesale distributor of fluid connectors, valves and pneumatic components that manage fluid power for heavy equipment utilized in both general manufacturing and the oil and gas industries.
Industrial Specialties and Control Dynamics have been family- owned for 25 years and have 20 employees. Both companies are based at 1509 SE 29th St. in Oklahoma City with facilities in Elk City and Duncan.
The family is proud to see this company grow over the years, but decided we had reached a point to successfully sustain this growth would require additional expert resources, said David Spears, president of Industrial Specialties. The national recognition and respect of the Fred Jones name gives our company a stronger brand and allows the business to grow to the next level in order to stay competitive in gaining market share.
Industrial Specialties will maintain its name, and Control Dynamics will begin conducting business as Industrial Specialties. The current management and employees at both companies will remain in place.
Fred Jones Enterprises is a privately held, family-owned business with distribution centers in Atlanta, El Paso, Jackson, Miss., Louisville, Memphis and Orlando. Fred Jones Enterprises was formed in 1938.
