Communication Federal Credit Union to build new facility in Norman

Communication Federal Credit Union has purchased property at 300 12th Ave. SE in Norman and will construct a full-service branch on the site.

Communication Federal is presently located at 130 E Eufaula in Norman and the new facility will replace the current location. Communication Federal has 17 branches in Oklahoma and Kansas.

The new location will have increased accessibility and feature safe deposit boxes, a multi-lane drive thru with extended Saturday and weekday hours as well as a 24-hour drive-up ATM.

Communication Federal/Communication Credit Union, founded by Southwestern Bell in 1939, has 45,000 members and $400 million in assets.

The credit union has grown to include 17 branch locations in Oklahoma and Kansas, serving the employees of such outstanding companies as SBC, Oneok and Affiliates, OGE Energy, Hitachi of Norman and over 300 other select employee groups.
