University of Tulsa offers accounting conference

The 60th annual Conference of Accountants, presented by the School of Accounting and Management Information Systems in the College of Business Administration at the University of Tulsa, is scheduled for April 25-26.

Thomas Ray, chief auditor for the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board, will present updates on the organization's efforts in regulating audits.

G. Michael Crooch, board member of the Financial Accounting Standards Board in Norwalk, Conn., will review how convergence is working and its prospects.

Hale, associate professor of computer science, University of Tulsa; Sharon Bertram, director of internal audit, Cherokee Nation Enterprises, Tulsa; Susan Morton, gaming accounting controller, Cherokee Nation Enterprises, Tulsa; David Stewart, CEO, Cherokee Nation Enterprises, Tulsa; Karen Kiely, director of finance, business development, The Bama Companies, Tulsa; Richard Kells, attorney and CPA, Hartzog Conger Cason & Neville, Oklahoma City; Linda D. Jenkins, vice president of community investments, Tulsa Area United Way, Tulsa; Marcia MacLeod, vice president of business process outsourcing, Williams Cos., Tulsa; Roberta Preston, delivery project executive, IBM, Tulsa; and Clint Plant, general manager, global financial services, ConocoPhillips, Bartlesville.

Registration begins at 8 a.m. both days. The conference will adjourn at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday and 4 p.m. on Wednesday.
