Ham radio operators to demonstrate capacities at Bridge Creek Fire

The Aeronautical Center Amateur Radio Club will demonstrate amateur radio skills for emergency communications at the Bridge Creek Fire Department starting a 10 a.m. June 23.

The demonstration is last 24 hours. The annual event, called Field Day, is part of Amateur Radio Week. Using only emergency power supplies, ham operators will construct emergency stations. More than 30,000 amateur radio operators across the country participated in last year's event.
