Oklahoma Department of Transportation plans 10 public transit

The Oklahoma Department of Transportation Transit Division has scheduled 10 meetings Sept. 4-6 around the state to begin the development of a Locally Coordinated Public Transit/Human Services Transportation Plan.

The meetings were scheduled to identify gaps in service and improve coordination among 62 federal programs offered by 13 federal agencies sponsoring programs.

The meetings are scheduled at 2 p.m. Sept. 4 at the J.D. McCarty Center, Norman; 2 p.m. Sept. 5 at the City Library, Weatherford; 3 p.m. Sept. 4 at the City Hall-McFadden Hall, Ponca City; 9 a.m. Sept. 6 at the American Legion Post, Muskogee; 9 a.m. Sept. 5 at the Museum of the Great Plains, Lawton; 9 a.m. Sept. 6 at the Family Enrichment Center, Guymon; 9 a.m. Sept. 5 at the Public Library in Stillwater; 2 p.m. Sept. 6 at the Public Library in Woodward; 2 p.m. Sept. 5 a the City Library, Claremore; and 2 p.m. Sept.6 at the Technology Center in Atoka.
