Oklahoma City University plans to offer MBA in Vietnam

Journal Record, The (Oklahoma City), Dec 24, 2007

Oklahoma City University's Meinders School of Business has an agreement with Hanoi University of Technology to offer a new master's of business administration program to Vietnam.

Much like OCU's Great Wall MBA program at the Tianjin University of Finance and Economics in China, the program will serve both domestic and international students. OCU Business School Dean Vince Orza has signed an agreement with officials at Hanoi University of Technology that has been submitted for government approval.

Upon receipt of U.S. and Vietnamese accreditation, OCU plans to launch classes in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City, also known as Saigon.

"Given the outstanding economic development occurring in Vietnam, we're looking forward to bringing an American MBA program to both cities," Orza said. "Much like we pioneered American programs in China 20 years ago, we will be pioneering programs for students in Vietnam."

The program will allow 90 students to study for an Oklahoma City University MBA degree in Vietnam during the first year. Additional students in Vietnam will have the opportunity to study at OCU in Oklahoma City.
