'Achievers under 40' profile: Molly Jarvis

Journal Record, The (Oklahoma City), May 16, 2008

As vice president of marketing and sales for Cherokee Nation Enterprises, Molly Jarvis is responsible for developing, implementing and managing the overall marketing and sales strategy for the first and only casino resort destination in the state of Oklahoma.

She manages the creation and execution of short- and long-term marketing plans to ensure market share and enhance the opportunity for profit growth.

In addition, Jarvis directs research activities, manages customer relationship marketing programs and develops sales forecasts for the company's seven casino locations, amenities and Cherokee cultural tourism initiatives. She has been with the company for almost six years in her hometown of Tulsa.

Jarvis believes her greatest achievement with the company has been her ability to give back to the Cherokee Nation and people. She helped to open the casino resort and has had the opportunity to see operations expand. As that has happened, the economy has been stimulated in the communities where the company operates.

Before joining Cherokee Nation Enterprises, she held several positions with Williams Communications (Wiltel Communications) in product marketing, international product deployment and international business development. She also worked as an area sales manager for Dillard Department Stores Inc.

Jarvis graduated from Oklahoma State University with a bachelor's degree in marketing and international business. She received her master's in business administration from OSU-Tulsa in 1999.

Oklahoma Magazine has recognized Jarvis as an outstanding young professional in the 40 Under 40 selection. She was also nominated for a Great Women of Gaming Award.

In her community, Jarvis is a board member for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Green Country and a member of the Association of Women in Communications and the American Marketing Association.
