Cameron Measurement Systems expands Duncan facility

Cameron Measurement Systems has begun construction on a 43,000- square-foot expansion to its facility in the North Industrial Park in Duncan.

Cameron Measurement Systems plans to add 60 to 70 jobs within the next few years at the plant manufacturing flow meters and other products to measure and regulate the flow of gas and other liquids.

The Industrial Park was certified by the Oklahoma Department of Commerce as a Site Ready property in 2006.

"The Site Ready aspects of working with the Duncan Area Economic Development Foundation will definitely be a factor in our success and was a factor in our decision to expand this facility," said Ricky Allen, plant manager. "Being Site Ready relieved many of the concerns that we might have had if we had opted to expand in a different location."

The expansion is expected to be completed in 12 to 14 months.

The site certification program started in 2006 and has 28 sites in Alva, Ardmore, Bartlesville, Chickasha, Claremore, Duncan, Enid, Eufaula, Fairview, Hobart, Norman, Oklahoma City, Ponca City, Sallisaw, Stillwater, Tahlequah and Wagoner.
