IBC Bank introduces bilingual mobile banking service

Journal Record, The (Oklahoma City), Jul 15, 2008

IBC Bank has launched an English and Spanish mobile banking service - IBC Mobile.

IBC will provide real-time access to checking, savings and loan accounts from cell phones. IBC Mobile customers can securely access account balances, research account transaction history, transfer money between accounts, pay bills and search for nearby IBC Bank branches and ATMs.

AT&T and Sprint customers will be able to download and access IBC Mobile for free, with additional service providers expected to come online.

IBC Mobile customers' financial information will remain secure through dual-factor authentication procedures, including use of a passcode or PIN number. Additionally, no personal data will be stored on the phone. Upon exiting the mobile banking application, all personal information is cleared. Also, if a customer were to lose his or her mobile phone, a customer service representative can remotely disable the device, further preventing potential fraudulent access.

IBC Bank, a member of Laredo-based International Bancshares Corp., has more than 260 facilities and more than 405 ATMs in Oklahoma and Texas.
