Labor Day travel expected to decline in Okla.

AAA expects 394,250 Oklahomans to travel 50 or more miles from home over the Labor Day holiday weekend, down 1.2 percent from Labor Day 2007.
The auto club expects 373,350 Oklahomans to travel by motor vehicle and 19,000 will fly, both down 1 percent from last year.
Across the U.S., AAA projects nearly 34.4 million Americans are expected to travel over Labor Day, down 0.9 percent from the 34.7 million who traveled last year.
AAA has reported declines in holiday travel since gasoline prices increased.
On Friday, the average prices in Oklahoma for self-serve regular unleaded was $3.52 per gallon, down 29 cents from one month earlier but up 71 cents from the same time in 2007.
The national average gasoline price on Friday was $3.69, 35 cents less than a month earlier but up 91 cents from Aug. 22, 2007.
