Tulsa pollution prevention program receives EPA Award

The city of Tulsa's Pollution Prevention group was one of three winners of the first P2 Challenge Award.
The award was presented at the Environmental Protection Agency's Region VI Pretreatment Association Workshop in Oklahoma City. The award recognizes local government efforts to help industries save money and prevent the discharge of harmful pollutants in waterways.
Partners working with the Tulsa program include Tulsa Stormwater Quality and Community Affairs, the Metropolitan Environmental Trust, the Tulsa County Conservation District's Blue Thumb Program, the Indian Nations Council of Governments and the Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality's P2 program.
