Oklahoma Minority Supplier Development Council honors minority

The FAA Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center was selected as the Outstanding Corporation of the Year by the Oklahoma Minority Supplier Development Council.

The award recognizes the OMSDC corporate member that has distinguished itself through commitment and dedication to strengthening minority business development. Russell H. Blasing, program director of the Office of Acquisition Services for the FAA Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center, accepted the award at the OMSDC's 18th annual Minority Business Leadership Awards Dinner in Oklahoma City.

OMSDC also presented Outstanding Business Awards in four categories - Class 1, annual sales less than $1 million; Class 2, annual sales between $1 million and $10 million; Class 3, annual sales between $10 million and $50 million; and Class 4, sales greater than $50 million.

B&S Quality Printing Inc. of Oklahoma City was the Class 1 award winner. B&S is owned by Sandra Dickinson and has been in business since 1984.

Safety & Security Services Inc. of Oklahoma City was the Class 2 award winner. Safety & Security Services Inc. is a Native American- owned company. William J. Price is the owner.

Trans-Tel Central Inc. of Norman was the Class 3 award winner. Trans-Tel Central Inc. is a Native American-owned company owned by owned by Audrey Pirtle. The company was formed in 1974 by Jack and Jane Morgan in Okmulgee.

Ross Group Construction Corp. of Tulsa was the Class 4 award winner. The Ross Group Construction Corp. is a Native American- owned company owned by Jesse H. Ross.
