Oklahoma's Matrix Service buys S.M. Electric

Matrix Service Industrial Contractors Inc., a subsidiary of Tulsa- based Matrix Service Co., has purchased S.M. Electric Co., based in Rahway, N.J.
S.M. Electric is a privately owned, midsized electrical contracting firm. The purchase is expected to increase annual revenue by more than $70 million.
"S.M. Electric is an outstanding strategic addition to our electrical and instrumentation business that will create a strong platform for continued growth and geographic expansion," said Michael J. Bradley, president and CEO of Matrix Service.
Matrix Service provides general industrial construction and repair and maintenance services principally to the petroleum, petrochemical, power, bulk storage terminal, pipeline and industrial gas industries.
