Borders Books and Music to open store in Salisbury
Daily Record, The (Baltimore), Jun 3, 2002 by Staff
Borders Books and Music plans to open a Salisbury store next spring. The 20,000-square-foot store will be located in a new shopping center at Dickerson Lane and Trooper's Way. The announcement is the second this month by a major bookstore chain. Barnes & Noble is expected to open a store on Route 13.
Salisbury has a very large trade area and an educated population, said Ernie Hueter, a Borders spokesman. The books and music category is underserved. The two chains also compete head to head in Towson.
