Md. comptroller's office notifies 3,300 citizens about unclaimed

> As a result of a collaboration between the U.S. Internal Revenue Service and the Maryland comptroller's office, more than 3,300 people have been notified that they are the owners of unclaimed funds in banks and financial institutions, according to Comptroller William Donald Schaefer. To check the state's unclaimed property records, call (410) 767-1700 or 1-800-782-7383, or access www.marylandtaxes.com on the Web.
