Washington County Health System unveils plans for new hospital

The Washington County Health System unveiled detailed plans for a new, $165 million hospital to be built east of Hagerstown, with 278 beds, 24 more than at its current facility near downtown Hagerstown, and an emergency room twice the size of its existing one. However, Hagerstown officials oppose locating the new hospital outside the city limits.
