Bethesda-based PG&E Energy plans name change to National Energy & Gas

PG&E National Energy Group Inc., headquartered in Bethesda, said it plans to change its name to National Energy & Gas Transmission Inc., following authorization by the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the District of Maryland. PG&E National Energy Group, an energy marketing company, intends to separate from its California-based parent, PG&E Corp.
