Ceremony marking 40th anniversary of Civil Rights Act planned

Gov. Robert L. Ehrlich Jr. and Lt. Gov. Michael S. Steele will host a public ceremony marking the 40th anniversary of the 1964 Civil Rights Act on Friday at Lawyers Mall in Annapolis. Among the speakers will be Art Fletcher, the first black player to play for the Baltimore Colts and one of the original nine plaintiffs in Brown vs.
