Wrage met her husband Stephen, an international relations professor at the U.S. Naval Academy, on the academy grounds in Annapolis. They now make their home in that city and have two 10- year-old sons, Alexander and Nicholas.

Wrage said the international nature of her business is part of what helps her to be available for her children. Time differences mean she doesn't have to work a standard work-week and can be available for her sons' lacrosse practice or when her husband wants to go sailing.
