Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide announces plans for Westin Hotel

Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide Inc. announced a franchise agreement with an entity formed by the Annapolis-based Jerome J. Parks Cos. and The Carlyle Group, a Washington-based investment company, for a new, 225-room luxury Westin Hotel as the centerpiece of a new, $200 million, mixed-use development, Park Place of Annapolis, which is under construction and slated for completion in 2007.
