Baltimore Museum of Art announces staffing changes: June 24, 2005

Doreen Bolger, director of the Baltimore Museum of Art, announced the appointment of David Park Curry in the newly created position of senior curator of Decorative Arts and American Painting & Sculpture. Curry is currently the curator of American Arts at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts in Richmond.
Also at BMA, Darsie Alexander was promoted to senior curator and department head of Contemporary Art. A specialist in photography, Alexander joined the museum staff in 2000.
Oliver Shell was appointed assistant curator in the department of European Painting & Sculpture. A specialist in modern European art, Shell has been a Kress Curatorial Fellow at the BMA since 2003.
