Several attorneys with the Bethesda firm of Paley Rothman have recently been honored by the legal community and various other organizations.Wendelin I. Lipp was appointed by the 4th Circuit U.S. Court of Appeals to U.S. bankruptcy judge for the district of Maryland. She will serve a 14-year term in the court's Southern Division at the courthouse in Greenbelt.Kathleen M.

Dumais was named Woman of the Year by the Montgomery County Business & Professional Women in recognition of her ongoing contributions to women's causes.Roy I. Niedermayer was elected Director and Assistant Secretary of the Yale Club of Washington, D.C.Maryland Lawyers for the Arts, a volunteer organization providing legal services to Maryland's arts community, recently added six new board members: sculptor Rodney Carroll; artist Roy Crosse, filmmaker/musician Skizz Cyzyk; artist Leah Spencer; and attorneys Jennifer Stearman, of McGuireWoods LLP and Norman L Smith, of Fisher & Winner LLP.
