Federal officials investigating VA-based LaFarge North America Inc.

LaFarge North America Inc., of Herndon, Va., a subsidiary of a French concrete and building materials company, said it is being investigated by federal officials probing government contractors. LaFarge, which has several quarries and other operations in Maryland, said its western New York offices were searched by federal agents on June 28.
