Owings Mill-based Honda dealership features ecologically friendly

Daily Record, The (Baltimore), Aug 28, 2006 by Daily Record Staff

Northwest Honda, an auto dealership at 9700 Reisterstown Road in Owings Mills, said its new showroom features an ecologically friendly roof. About 75 percent of the 40,000-square-foot roof is taken up by living, growing plants, the dealership said, noting that benefits include reduced energy use and lower ambient air temperature, which lessens global warming.

The roof is the first of its kind in Baltimore County, the dealership said in a news release.
