Gaithersburg-based NexTone Communications receives funds

NexTone Communications, of Gaithersburg, a provider of advanced telecommunications network systems, said it received a $25 million investment from Columbia Partners Private Capital, of Washington, D.C. NexTone said it has received total private funding of $92.5 million to date. It will use the new funds to further enhance its product portfolio and expand its customer base.
