Gaithersburg-based drug maker MedImmune Inc. said a U.S. court rejected a motion by Indian drugmaker Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Ltd. to drop an infringement suit on one patent, but ruled another was not infringed by Sun. The U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland denied a summary judgment requested by Sun for one patent protecting MedImmune's sole cancer product, called Ethyol.
However, the court ruled that another patent protecting Ethyol was not infringed by Sun.
