Md. Court of Special Appeals upholds conviction

Daily Record, The (Baltimore), Feb 14, 2007 by Daily Record

The Court of Special Appeals has affirmed the first-degree murder conviction of Ryan T. Furlough for poisoning a fellow Centennial High School student, Benjamin Vassiliev, with cyanide in January 2004. In a brief 6-page opinion, the court rejected the argument that the Howard County Circuit Court wrongfully excluded evidence pertaining to Furlough's mental health, when he stopped taking the medication Effexor.

And the evidence, the court found, was sufficient to support a murder conviction.
