Profit flat for Williams Scotsman International Inc. of White Marsh

Williams Scotsman International Inc., of White Marsh, a lessor of mobile office and storage units, said its first-quarter profit was flat as revenue edged lower. Revenue for the quarter fell 2 percent to $161.9 million versus $165 million a year ago. Net income totaled $10.4 million this year, the same as in first-quarter 2006.

Earnings per share was 24 cents in the recent quarter and 26 cents in the prior-year period. The per-share difference is due to more shares outstanding in the current quarter. Analysts projected revenue of $165.7 million and earnings of 22 cents per share.
