Verizon Maryland's FiOS service expands

Verizon Maryland, a subsidiary of New York-based Verizon Communications Inc., said it is expanding its all-digital FiOS fiber- optic TV service to portions of Upper Marlboro in Prince George's County, bringing to more than 87,000 the number of households that subscribe to the service throughout the county.

Launched in Maryland in 2006, FiOS also is available to consumers in parts of Anne Arundel, Howard and Montgomery counties as well as Annapolis, Bowie, New Carrollton and Laurel.
