Verizon Maryland launches all-digital FiOS fiber-optic TV service in

Verizon Maryland, a subsidiary of New York-based Verizon Communications Inc., announced the launch of its all-digital FiOS fiber-optic TV service in the Towson area of Baltimore County. The new service is available to some 1,000 homes in its Baltimore County debut, and more areas are on the way.

According to the company, more than 425,000 households in Maryland are subscribing to the service. Verizon also is offering its FiOS high-speed Internet service in Towson, joining Cockeysville, Ellicott City, Owings Mills and Reisterstown.
