Stratos Global Corp. of Bethesda selected as global distribution

Stratos Global Corp., of Bethesda, an international telecommunication services provider, said it has been selected as a global distribution partner for Inmarsat's upcoming Satellite Phone Services, which is scheduled to be launched in this year's third quarter as an alternative to existing handheld, fixed and maritime phone systems.
Inmarsat is an international telecommunications provider that makes a communication system used primarily by the maritime, aeronautical and fleet industries. Inmarsat's Satellite Phone Services, scheduled to launch early in the third quarter of this year, will initially be available in most of the Middle East, Africa and Asia Pacific regions.
