Daily Record, The (Baltimore), Jun 28, 2007

Cardtronics Inc., of Houston, the nation's largest non-bank owner of automatic teller machines, has agreed to improve access for the blind at its ATMs, the Baltimore-based National Federation of the Blind and Massachusetts Attorney General Martha Coakley announced. Under an agreement with the NFB and the state of Massachusetts, Cardtronics will make its 24,000 ATMs nationwide accessible to the blind by July 1, 2010, using voice guidance technology.

The blind people's group and the state had filed a complaint in 2003 against a company that was subsequently acquired by Cardtronics.
