Sparrows Point-based Mittal Steel Co. gets extension

The Justice Department Thursday granted Mittal Steel Co. 15 more days to sell the Sparrows Point steel mill. It was the third, and final, extension granted after the department, because of antitrust issues, ordered the company to divest the mill as a condition of Mittal's pending merger with Arcelor SA. Mittal now has until July 20 to sell the mill.
