Baltimore's BCSB Bankcorp shows turnaround

BCSB Bankcorp Inc., of Perry Hall, the parent company of Baltimore County Savings Bank, reported net income for its fiscal third quarter, which ended June 30, of $599,000, or 10 cents per diluted share, versus a net loss of $6.9 million, or $1.18 per diluted share, for the corresponding period last year.
The company suffered a substantial loss last year after it was victimized in a check scam that reportedly cost $10.8 million, or $6.9 million after taxes.
