Washington County Health System to break ground for new Washington

Washington County Health System will break ground Wednesday for the new Washington County Regional Medical Center near Hagerstown. The ceremonies are scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. at the site adjacent to Robinwood Medical Center. The hospital will cost an estimated $296 million and is scheduled to open in November 2010.
The building will have more than 500,000 square feet of space, including an expanded emergency department, 267 single-patient rooms and 17 operating rooms.
