LaVay joins Hogan Cos. of Annapolis

The Hogan Cos., of Annapolis, a group of companies focused on investment, consulting and real estate development, announced the hiring of former Del. Richard A. LaVay as vice president and managing partner to head a newly created Finance and Investment Division. The division will focus on identifying and acquiring performing and non-performing real estate assets.

LaVay, a Republican, served for 12 years in the Maryland General Assembly representing Western Montgomery County, before retiring in 2002. Prior to joining the Hogan Cos., he was chief production officer with Suburban Capital markets Inc. and director/administrator of the Salomon Brothers (now Citigroup)/Suburban/Choice Hotels International Inc. construction/permanent loan program.
