Baltimore-Washington International to lose African flights
Daily Record, The (Baltimore), Feb 22, 2008
North American Airlines is planning in May to end its flights to Africa from Baltimore-Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport. A company spokesman says North American is ending all commercial service because of rising fuel costs and competition from Delta Air Lines, which recently began flights to Africa from New York.
North American Airlines is an arm of Georgia-based Global Aero Logistics and will continue military and chartered flights. North American began service from Baltimore to Accra, Ghana in 2006 and to Lagos, Nigeria in 2007.
