GP Strategies Corp. of Elkridge boosts profit

GP Strategies Corp., of Elkridge, reported fourth-quarter net income of $2.7 million, or 16 cents per diluted share, versus net income of $1.8 million, or 11 cents per diluted share, for the prior- year period. Revenue was $70.4 million in fourth-quarter 2007 versus $45.4 million for the same period in 2006.
The company said its "strong" performance was due in part to acquisitions in Europe and expansion in the Asia Pacific region. GP Strategies' principal operating subsidiary, General Physics Corp., provides training, e- learning, management consulting and engineering services.
