Johns Hopkins University med school teacher named one of world's

A Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine faculty member and patient safety researcher has been named one of the world's most influential people. Time Magazine included Peter Pronovost in the 2008 list created to recognize 100 people who are significantly influencing the world. Pronovost is a professor of anesthesiology, critical care and surgery at Johns Hopkins.

The university said he's known for a project to keep patients safer by reducing the risk of infections.
