Maryland universities announce staffing changes: May 2, 2008

The University Economic Development Association appointed one and elected three new members to its board of directors. The three new members are: Christi Bell, director of the Center for Economic Development at the University of Alaska at Anchorage; Dyan Brasington, vice president, economic and community outreach, Towson University; and Annette Johnson, director of the Rural Oregon Institute at Eastern Oregon University. UEDA also appointed Ed Morrison, economic policy advisor for the Purdue Center for Regional Development.

The Towson University Executive Club, founded in 2006, recently accepted eight new members: Sherman Ragland, CEO, Tradewinds International; Leonard Raley, President, University System of Maryland Foundation Inc.; Thomas Phelan, President, Injured Workers' Insurance Fund; George Haynes, Chief Information Officer, Northrop Grumman Technical Services; David Zeitlin, National Director, The Care of Trees; Bradley Callahan, CEO, Travel Advantage Network; and Thomas Jaschik, President, BB&T Equipment Finance Corp.
